Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page.

Rod Jones MBE was a valued and respected MOD Civil Servant with 50 years exemplary service.  Most who knew him will also know he was an avid and dedicated member of Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club.  Rod would happily share his in depth knowledge, and history, recounting the singers and the bands that had entertained there.

Both his friends and colleagues (new and enduring) will be participating in a virtual endurance challenge starting from the birthplace of Jazz Preservation Hall, New Orleans to Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, London totalling 4623 miles.   The aim is to both raise awareness and funds for the Ronnie Scott's Charitable Foundation.

Take a peek and see how the teams are doing, donate and be generous to a worthwhile cause in honour of our upstanding Jazz loving gentleman lost suddenly and unexpectedly in November 2020.
