I've been lucky enough to be given the chance to join Team Alice for a day! For me (so long as it doesn't rain) it's a great day out - 100 plus miles of cycling from Ulverston, over Kirkstone, through Carlisle and onto Moffat. For the rest of the team it is a bit more difficult - they will have already done 5 days of similar distances and will have 4 more to look forward to! In short, you should really be sponsoring one of the others not me - but as you'll see below this is a fantastic cause so please sponsor one of us!

Team Alice is a team of Cumbrian cyclists, who have taken up the monumental challenge of riding 1000 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats. The ride will take 10 days starting 20th April 2012, covering around 100 miles per day. We are fundraising for Alice's Escapes, a new charity founded by Alice Pyne and her family. The charity's aim is to provide holidays for seriously ill children and their families, one which we think is such a worthy cause.
