Story

I am now back on my bike, training for a ride through Cambodia next January in order to raise, hopefully with your assistance, much needed funds for three Children's Charities -Teenage Cancer Trust, ChildLine and Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy. The Truants have raised over £750,000 from three bike rides and other events, and this time, with your help, we hope to take the total over £1million!

As is the case with all the Truants I will be paying all costs related to the ride personally so every penny donated goes to the Charities. Nordoff Robbins collect and account all donations before sharing equally with the other two charities.

We set off on Jan 24 2014 for Simm Reip via Singapore , then up early the next day to spend the morning choosing and checking our bikes, which are supplied, and add necessities like a gel saddle to avoid the total destruction of certain parts of our bodies. Over the following 48 hours we will cycle over 100 miles after those who make it will apply various  creams and perhaps down a celebratory beer or two.

RCN 280960
Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. Through the power of music, it breaks through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation. The charity does this through providing music therapy to people across the UK, whilst also training the music therapists of the future and funding research to measure and improve the impact of its work.
