Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was widowed at 39 when my husband died suddenly of oesophageal cancer. It was running that helped me through my grief, encouraged by my children who decided their mummy needed to "get fit". Never run before, this is a journey that has completely transformed my life.
The Great North Run falls on the 2nd (sad) anniversary of my husband Mark Lee's death, when he was just 43. He was a Northern Lad, from Hartlepool! This run is one of 43 I plan to complete over the year in celebration of his life.
Facing a terminal illness is traumatic and life changing. It's the work of organisations such as Marie Curie that make it less frightening, giving the support required so you can make the most of your precious time together as a family.
Thank you for your support xxx
