Story

On the 6th of June 2015 twelve Pre-apprentices (16/17 year old ex NEET), three year 1 apprentices (ex NEET) and two Mentors from Glendale Liverpool will board the Pelican of London Tall Ship for a 7 day life changing sailing experience to compete in the annual Apprentice-ship Cup that will takes us across the Irish sea eventually docking in Dublin.  Working alongside an experienced crew the team will sail the tall ship and will be responsible for the day to day duties of any crew member such as, 24 hour watch, navagation, keeping the ship clean and preparing 3 meals per day etc etc.  In addition the team will compete against other apprentices from organisations such as Peel Ports etc.

To earn the right to get onboard the ship the team of 17 will complete a relay IRONMAN - swimming in Queens Dock, four 28 mile cycle laps, including several laps of Sefton Park and four 6.5 mile running  laps taking in the river front.  Hopefully the team will raise the  sufficent funds to support the charity MAST.
