Story

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for visiting my page, I've stupidly signed up for a marathon in Lisbon...

There's a team of us, all current or ex Rugby League players and enthusiasts. With that in mind we're all running together for the Steve Prescott Foundation.

The Steve Prescott Foundation is a great charity very close to my heart. It supports 2 organsations:

  • Try Assist (Formerly the Rugby League Benevolent Fund) - supports those players whose lives are seriously affected by injuries sustained while playing Rugby League.
  • The Christie - The Christie Cancer Hospital is one of the leading cancer research hospitals in Europe. Very close to my heart in recent years, Cancer sucks... so anything to support the fight against it is a good thing!

Thanks,

Pete

About the charity

The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund. The SPF changes the lives of so many people.
