I lost my Gran far too early to Cancer. She was the kindest most loving person that I have ever known and I miss her every day. She was one of those people that made everything seem ok. She was comforting to be around. As a child I would go to her house for tea every Tuesday after school and she would have spent the afternoon baking cakes, sponge cakes and butterfly cakes, chocolate and mocha with butter cream. She would cook granny's special with veg from the garden and we would play cards after dinner. As an adult when I had my own home and a child of my own she would come over to me for dinner every Tuesday afternoon I would cook new foods that she had never tried and would always go to the bakers in the morning to get us a fresh cream cake to have with our cup of tea. We would go the garden centre and she would help me with my garden but sadly when I was just 20yrs old and on my dads 50th birthday she lost her fight to cancer having been a smoker for a lot of her adult life she quit too late and the damage was done. Lung cancer took my Gran from me and my dad an only child lost his mum 50yrs to the day that she was in hospital giving birth to him. I miss my Gran every single day of my life and would give anything to have another day with her.
