Story

On 28/12/12 aged 36 my life as I knew it was abruptly halted by a brain bleed stroke.... Leaving me completely paralysed down my left hand side. Up until that point I was Oblivious to strokes and there affects, I had the typical "that's what old people have" view.....

14 months on and I am extremely lucky to have use of all my limbs again, and still hitting rehab to improve my capability. I am blessed with a fantastic family, friends and 10 day old daughter Maddelyn Amelia, and have chosen to walk the 1 mile course with her, my family, and best friends to raise awareness and money for the hugely supportive stroke association. It would be fab to know you read this and look at the fact strokes do affect anyone, they don't discriminate, it's worth reading more on their website,  and even better if you could donate a few pounds to help the stroke associations work.
