Story
Hi all
On Sunday the 8th August I completed the "Outlaw" Ironman in Nottingham. Originally I was entered into the Bolton Ironman one week earlier, however at an early stage on the bike stage I had a mechanical failure on the bike. I was delighted to be able to get a late entry into "The outlaw" it comprised of:
2.36 mile swim
112 mile cycle
26.2 mile run
So far I have been building up via various half marathons, open water swims, etc but at the end of May it became serious when I competed in the Beaver miidle distance triathlon which was just under half an ironman. So there is no turning back now and I am getting down to some serious training (between 16 and 20 hours a week)
I will be competing on behalf of TLC, the charity my wife Jennie set up 3 years ago. My hope is to support her in her amazing achievements in helping those in the developing world who suffer from fatal kidney disease.
