In August 2013 I'll be cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats (LeJog). That's a total of 1,049 miles in ten and a half days. I'll be cycling with three other members of the Chorlton Belters Veloclub, with the team's support vehicle being driven by my loving and patient wife, Lucy. I'll even spend my 40th birthday on the road (this is not a mid-life crisis, I promise) as well as my tenth wedding anniversary. It's a challenge I've long wanted to do, and one that I'm training hard for.
But I need your help...
As someone who makes his living from agriculture, I thought it would be nice to put something back into farming. My chosen charity for the ride is 'Farm Africa'. They have a very simple belief: that Africa has the power to feed itself. The charity works directly with farmers to help them unleash their potential to feed Africa’s people. They also pioneer techniques that boost harvests, reduce poverty, sustain natural resources and help end Africa’s need for aid.
Please dig deep and help me reach my sponsorship target. And please, spare a thought for my backside as I cycle 100 miles a day for 10 days.
