No doubt you will be aware of the tragic events in Manchester last year when Nicola and her colleague Fiona Bone lost their lives in a gun and grenade attack.

The PCNicola Hughes memorial fund raises funds for the three main charities that provided support to the officers families in the aftermath of the incident.

As part of the fundraising activities in April 2014 Nicola's father Bryn Hughes will take part in the North Pole marathon where he will run 26 miles in -32c to raise funds.

Between 1st December 2013 and 4th April 2014 Iwill be taking part in the run to remember event and have pledged to run 250 miles in 125 days( which will be ok until I miss a few days and have to catch up)
