Tuesday 20th of December is a double anniversary of my partner Alan and myself meeting for the first time 23 years ago and 17 years since we had our Civil Partnership so what better way to mark this occasion than to spend an icy winters night in a car-park overlooking Belfast, sheltering in a rather tatty old Citroen Picasso donated by Palmdale Motors in London that has over half a million miles on the clock, literally to the moon and back, to raise vital funds for Shelter this festive season.

So for every year we have been together we want to raise £10, a total of £230

That's our choice for the night but for every person you see sleeping rough on the streets there is at least one person that is homeless, sleeping in their car and charities like Shelter are trying to help as many people as they can at this difficult time of the year, with these arctic temperatures it's more urgent than ever to help those who are in need. 

Everything is so expensive right now and things are tight but every little helps and remember if you can't donate, sharing this page on your social media is just as helpful.
