Story
As my friends and family know I have been involved with horses and in particular racing all of my life. I have previously ridden in point to points and also did a charity race back in 2013, where I came 3rd......
Since then I have been itching to enter another charity race.....partly to indulge my passion for racing, partly for the thrill of participating, but in this case to support a fantastic charity that helped support my wife Kath's late father Les, who lost his short battle with cancer at the age of 53, 30 years ago. Since then Kath has "done her bit" helping fund raising for Macmillan, and has stood on streets and in supermarket entrances many a time collecting......
NOW ITS MY TURN TO SUPPORT THIS BRILLIANT CHARITY THAT DOES SO MUCH FOR SO MANY PEOPLE.
I HAVE ALREADY BEGUN MY RIGOROUS TRAINING PROGRAM, RIDING OUT EVERY MORNING, AND AS I HAVE AROUND 3 STONES IN WEIGHT TO LOSE TO GET TO MY RIDING WEIGHT, I HAVE ALSO EMBARKED ON A STRICT DIET REGIME!!
As cancer touches most of our lives one way or another, I do hope you can find it in yourself to help support me in this challenge. My fundraising target is £3000, but I do hope with your help I manage to raise more......
