Story
As Brand Ambassadors and members of Glasgow University Charity Fashion Show we have decided to take part in Jailbreak in aid of GUCFS's chosen charitable partner, Simon Community Scotland.
GUCFS Jailbreak is a fundraising initiative presented by Glasgow University Charity Fashion Show in aid of Simon Community Scotland. Teams of 2 and 3 are set on a mission to get as far away from Glasgow as possible in 36 hours without spending ANY money on transport while raising money and awareness for such a great cause.
Simon Community Scotland has been developed by people, for people and they continue to make strides in the fight against the causes and effects of homelessness. Their vision is that everyone should have a safe place to live and access to the support they need. Everything they do is about and for people: the people they support, their staff, their partners and everyone affected by homelessness.
Alongside a 24/7 helpline and accommodation services, their RSVP service and drop-in hub is for people who are sleeping rough or at risk of becoming homeless. They also provide a nightstop service where approved volunteers provide a warm home for the night for young people sleeping rough. As well as Period Friendly Points, which are specific locations where women experiencing homelessness can access free sanitary and other products to use during their period.
Any support through donations (no matter how small!) would be really appreciated. Your contributions will enable Simon Community Scotland to continue to make a huge impact to the vulnerable people of Glasgow and contribute to their vision that one day everyone in Glasgow will have a safe place to call their home.
Thank you for your generosity! xx
