Story
I have decided to do something worthwhile with my time off this summer and challenge myself. I will be travelling to Iceland in July, starting off and ending in Reykjavik. The challenge involves:
- Trekking from Landmannalaugar to Thórsmörk over 3 days
- Walking for between 7 and 11 hours per day in the highlands of Iceland
- Covering more than 60km over rocky and steep terrain, with potential glaciers to navigate, fast-running ice-cold rivers to wade through (brr) and everything from blazing sun to snow to contend with
- Camping for 3 nights in the wilderness (no fancy facilities here!)
Every little helps, so please give what you can so that we can help children in some of the most war-torn parts of the world. All donations will go straight to War Child, as we are covering all of our own travel, admin and kit costs. What's more, a few donations will mean I actually have to start doing some proper training (because it turns out watching the London Marathon on TV while hungover and eating birthday cake is not sufficient...)
