I've been lucky enough to be chosen for the Macmillan charity race at the annual Macmillan York race day. It is the largest charity raceday in British racing, and has raised a staggering £5.5million over the past 40 years.  

I work as a communications officer for macmillan in the South of the country and am privileged to work with Macmillan services every day. As well as having friends and family who have been touched by cancer and helped by Macmillan, I get to see first hand the amazing work Macmillan does, and know all too well that the charity can only fund these services because of the people who fundraise on their behalf.

Since starting work for Macmillan over 5 years ago, I've taken part in various fundraising activities, completing the Great South Run, doing charity walks, taking part in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning and a lot more besides. Now I have the opportunity to combine my 2 absolute passions; horse riding and a charity very close to my heart.

I have set myself a huge target, but know what a big difference this could make, and will be taking it very seriously. Any support will be very gratefully received and I thank you wholeheartedly in advance for any help you might be able to give in helping me to reach my target.
