Well, I did it! Thanks to everyone who sponsored me, any final donations would be very gratefully received. Would I recommend the event to anyone? Absolutely, it was the most painful but the most challenging and exhilarating experience of my life!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. The Marathon Des Sables is sometimes referred to as the toughest footrace on earth. It takes place in the Sahara Desert. The race requires competitors to be completely self sufficient-carrying all your own food, clothing, medical equipment etc. It runs this year from Sunday the 3rd April through to Saturday 9th April. It is 250km.

If you would like to e mail me whilst I am there your support would be very much appreciated, in order to do this:

1) Go to www.darbaroud.com

2) Find the section entitled 'ecrire aux concurrents' (write to competitors

3) Enter my first name, surname and race number 839 then leave your messages/s.

 

This will be possible from the 2-8th April. Send as many messages over these days as you can, I envisage needing as much support as possible. Please noted that you won't be able to send attachments/pictures with the messages. I won't be able to reply but the messages are brought to the tent each eve. You will also be able to follow my progress on this website too so you can join the journey vicariously without the blisters!!!
