Story
Cycling Lands End to John O Groats, 980 miles, 9 days at an average of 108 miles per day, not easy but attainable I thought. So earlier this year, January in fact, I decided to take up the challenge and booked it through "action challenge" who have organised the event, UKEND2END.
The training has been more time consuming than hard with long hours in the saddle meaning I have missed most of our sunny summer weather but now about to start I am relieved and can't wait to get going!!
So why and who am I doing this for.
Why, is in memory of my late father, who himself in the late 1940's, as a teenager road his bike, from Skegness to Wales.
To who, being the childrens charity EACH.
EACH (East Anglia Childrens Hospice) are local to me and provide fantastic care for children that have life-threatening conditions and I have both raised money for them in the past and I have visited their hospice at Quidenham metting staff and some of the children in their care.
I have admired their work for many years. Have a look at the link to the charity to see for yourself.
How much money do I need to raise?
Well I have paid for all my own costs during the event so EVERY PENNY I raise will go DIRECT to the CHARITY and I thank you in advance for all donations that I receive.
