On August 22 & 23 me and my mate Chris are going to ride the South Downs way west from Eastbourne. This is a challenge we've both wanted to do for a while and when Optometry Giving Sight announced its Optom's Cycling for Sight initiative, the perfect opportunity presented itself to complete the challenge and raise funds for one of my favourite charities.

Assuming we complete the journey to Winchester we will have covered 100 miles and climbed the equivalent height of 3 Mount Snowdon's.
