Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Children of Fire International tries to do something so remarkable - and necessary - that it deserves all possible support. Based in Johannesburg, it takes in children who have been severely disfigured by fires in the home and rebuilds their bodies and their lives. I have known Bronwen Jones, the founder of Children of Fire, for 28 years, and for most of that time she has been opening her home to children with severe injuries and often nowhere else to turn, giving them a fuller life, persuading surgeons to carry out reconstructive surgery and campaigning for greater fire safety awareness. I have seen Children of Fire at work in South Africa, and over the past couple of years have got to know Dorah and Sizwe, two of the youngsters Bronwen has taken under her wing, particularly well, as they have continued their progress in Britain. I have also had the chance to meet several of the Children of Fire team and appreciate their commitment, patience and versatility. Do please help if you can by sponsoring me as we set out to visit every location on the Monopoly board on foot.
