Story

In March 2014 a campaign called #GetYourBellyOut was founded by four amazing girls, Sahara Fleetwood-Beresford, Gemma Willingham, Lorna Haymes and Victoria Marie. Shortly afterwards I received a tweet by Gemma asking for IBD sufferers to help support by joining the #GetYourBellyOut group on Facebook. This group has an amazing bunch of people who offer love, kindness and support 24/7 and have raised over £25,000 for CCUK in only 12 months.

I have suffered from Crohn's since the age of 11 and have undergone 5 major operations as well as numerous other procedures and hospital admissions. Despite this I have been fortunate to have long periods of remission and lead a normal life. Not everyone is this lucky and thats why its so important to me to raise awarness and help fund research into this disease.
