Janine's parents were founding members of PhysCap, which is a Yorkshire based charity run completely by volunteers since 1970.

By sponsoring us for participating in this awesome challenge, you will be directly improving the quality of life for children suffering from severe physical and mental disabilities within the Yorkshire area.

All monies raised goes direct to families who have limited funds to buy specialist or therapeutic equipment for their children to help make their lives a little easier. Physcap often provides money to families who have exhausted all other funding options and have no where else to turn.

Over the past 25 years we have provided countless families with equipment ranging from touch screen computer systems and adapted treadmills to electric buggies and specially adapted trikes. We’ve also helped with funding for children who require both therapy and conductive education.

Over the past few years, we have purchased equipment enabling a teenager to speak to his family for the first time by means of an electronic ‘Touch Talker’; helped fund an operation in the US for a little girl suffering from SDR. We also funded a ‘Twinkle Eye’ switch – which helped a paralysed young girl activate a computer by herself and communicate for the first time.
