About 20 years ago when I was in the Army I spent 2 nights atop Ben Nevis as part of a safety team for the 3 Peaks Yacht Race and ever since then I have always yearned to carry out the challenge. Just before Christmas 2013 I finally made the decision to go for it and asked around if anybody would care to join me in the challenge. Well, Andy Hoskins, Paul Biggerstaff, Alex Monro, Ross Hancocks and Ben Taylor all from AC Entertainment Technologies where I work in High Wycombe are going to scale all 3 peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon). Between us, we're raising money for Cancer Research UK, Help for Heroes and Shelter, and hope to raise about £1000 for each charity. I have chosen Help for Heroes as my personal charity as during my days in the Army some of my colleagues were terribly injured. We are funding this challenge ourselves so all donations will go straight to the charities.
