We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

Tough Mudder combines a half-marathon with some electric shocks, barbed wire, fire runs, ice baths and other such activities that test your pain threshold and endurance.  And some mud. Lots of mud.

While it claims to be (probably) the ‘toughest event on the planet,’ it doesn’t compare to the fight my grans fights everyday to keep hold of her memories, the names of her children, her sanity, her self.  TM might be tough, but battling with Alzheimer’s is definitely tougher.

I’m super thankful to the whole of the Muddy Mudskippers team – Neil Young, Joshua James Roberton, Andy Healy, Sam Cleal  and Kez Cleal  – who have agreed to not only tackle the 12 mile November death-march that will be TM in Northern England in mid-November, but in doing so raise funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK - the UK’s leading dementia research charity specialising in finding preventions, causes, treatments and a cure for dementia.

So don't let a muddskipper call you a lousy bum - dig deep to help ensure that the boys don’t suffer an arctic enema for nought!

THANK YOU!
