Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JDRF donation page!
I have been a musician all my life. In my career as a music therapist, I have had the privilege of working with children and adults who live with many chronic diseases and disabilities, including diabetes. My own family has been touched by several chronic medical conditions as well that, like diabetes, require daily medications and other therapies.
I started running a few years ago as a way to engage in an activity that helps improve my physical and mental health and to set an active example for my four sons. Combining my love of helping others through activities I enjoy, such as music and running, helps me feel like I can make a difference in the lives of those around me.
It is a privilege to run the London Marathon on behalf of JDRF! I am excited to run beside my good friend and Sole Sister Karen Myhre. Karen also is running for JDRF in honor of her sister who has lived with type 1 diabetes for 43 years.
Thank you so much for considering making a donation to JDRF to help find a cure for type 1 diabetes!
I am very grateful for your support as well. Prayers for a safe, fun event for everyone are always appreciated!
Keep Calm and Marathon!
