Story
For many people with terminal illness, their last wish is to spend their final days at home - being surrounded by familiarity and their family. Marie Curie nurses provide end of life care for cancer and other patients in their own homes...not only providing nursing care, but often staying overnight too, to offer the families a few hours respite.
Having lost 2 friends to cancer, both of whom wished to spend their last days in their home, I know how vital Marie Curie's services were to their families at such a difficult time.
on 23rd June, I will be hiking 5 peaks in the Lake District, including the highest peak in England, Scafell Pike - I hope to raise £100 to help Marie Curie continue their vital work and would be extremely grateful for your support.
