Story
The npower Kilimanjaro team from 2013 are back and taking part in the 10th anniversary activities in support of Macmillan. We are taking part in the 24 hour challenge which is just one of the ten challenges available to get involved this year and we are all really excited about taking part.
Our challenge is the National Three Peaks which will take us to Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales. The challenge will take place on Saturday 28th June 2014 and we aim to raise £600 for Macmillan and we thank you in advance for your contribution.
Our route take us from various locations in the UK where will initially meet in Birmingham and Leeds before travelling up to Fort William for our first peak. By starting our climb at 6 am in Scotland we will climb both Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike in daylight, leaving the easier Snowdon path to be climbed at night. Here is our plan;
6am Start Ben Nevis.
10am Finish Ben Nevis and start drive to Scafell Pike (six hour drive).
4pm Arrive and start climbing Scafell Pike (Wasdale Head)
8pm Finish Scafell Pike and start drive to Snowdon (five hour drive).
1am Arrive and start climbing Snowdon
6am Finish Snowdon, and complete challenge.
