Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As many you of you know Sue, my wife had a severe stroke two years ago. Sue has come thorugh many Life changing challenges during that time. Learing to walk, building her strength in herself and body. After spending almost a year in Hospitals and ReHab at Oxford'sOCE Sue is back driving, supporting other young stroke survivors and is an active supporter of the Fighting Stroke Charity. Sue is my inspiration for this years challenge...without her encouragement and personal drive i would not be taking this on.
So i am 54, never completed a marathon before, its a big challenge for me.After my abseil down the Twickenham in 2010 which raised over £2000 for the Stroke Association i though I would leave my rope at home and put on my trainers. On October 14th i plan to run the 26.2miles of the Liverpool Marathon in aid of the Stroke Association. Your donation no matter how much is welcome, so we can together help raise funds for more support to those affected and their families in the future. Strokes are the third biggest killer in the UK and the most debilitating event a person can have. Over 50,000 strokes occur in the UK to people under 50. It is not an older persons event, it could effect people like you or someone close or you know...lets help this together...
