Story
One May evening we each received a call from a good friend, Craig Elwell, not so much asking us as telling us that we were going to row the English Channel…. "Sounds like fun," we all thought and, after months of gruelling training, on the 13th October two boats of seven strapping lads, in the peak of fitness will take to the water. After a challenging 22 miles requiring all our strength and stamina, the sight of the French coast will never be more welcome. Friendship brought us together and united us in the challenge to raise funds for the AHOY charity.
Not only is our challenge a marathon row across the Channel to shake hands with our French neighbours, but also an endeavour to raise £12,000 per boat. Please check our "justgiving" pages to contribute to the AHOY cause. Every penny counts, so please contribute whatever you can.
