Wobbleberrie Challange · 18 September 2016
This challenge is for a fantastic charity and I can't wait to see the final amount we raise for Hannah #letskickcancersbutt.
This challenge has grown and hundreds of like minded people have taken up the challenge to get their horses and themselves fit and train to compete in a British Eventing 80cm competition to raise money for the Wilberry Wonder Pony charity , who was set up by Hannah a young event rider who sadly passed away at the beginning of August 2016 aged 18.
To give you all a bit of background on both Fin and myself, I only ever competed in showjumping up to a max of 80cm at pony club (makes me feel old), I don't have the patience for dressage (and Fin hates it ) and I last jumped something solid when I was in my teens
Since the age of 25 up to May 2016 I have hardly ridden as I have a muscle condition which led to me having lots of foot surgery, this will not only be a physical challange but a mental one ( i lost my confidence with jumping I have a mini meltdown going over a tiny cross pole )
I got Finlay in November 2015 after my last horse Micky died so we are a relatively new partnership however it feels like I've owned him forever I'm very lucky that the moment I sat on him I knew I had to bring him home.
Finlay is my beautiful chestnut irish boy who has showjumped and completed cross country courses in the past ( I had viewed videos from a previous owner). He has the ability to do this challenge and will love all the training and jumping, dressage on the other hand will be intresting 😂 I have a long way to go, I can't wait for this challenge !!
I know all my famity and friends are behind me 😚COME ON team Wobbleberry we've got this !!!
