We fund research and raise awareness to create a world free from meningitis

Story

As a biologist, health campaigner and endurance runner, I am running the Brighton Marathon with Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) on 12th April because truly believe in MRF's fight against infectious diseases, such as meningitis and septicaemia. Additionally, as a treatment coordinator at Forest & Ray Ltd in London (www.forest-ray.com), I would like to make everyone aware of the close relationship between your oral status and susceptibility to bacterial and viral diseases.

Did you know that a poor dental hygiene lead to various oral problems like gum diseases, tooth decay, bad breath and even loss of teeth, as well as makes you prone to meningitis and septicaemia? It's important then to have regular dental check-ups to prevent or care for periodontal diseases because poor periodontal health and meningitis/septicaemia go together!

Therefore, Forest & Ray Dental Practice in London decided to offer you a special treatment for just £50, including a check-up, x-ray, dental hygiene session and treatment plan, as well as your generous £5 sponsorship towards my race (the normal price of it is > £150 excluding your donation).

If you are interested, please call the Forest and Ray on 020 3199 0172 or e-mail us on info@forest-ray.com, and quote MRF2015 to book your special £50 dental appointment. Alternatively, you can support MRF directly through my fundraising website: www.justgiving.com/Monika-Szwed2.

Thank you.

Monika =)

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
