The Mission to Seafarers cares for the wellbeing of seafarers.

Piracy and extremism is an ever present problem that continues to affect international trade, shipping and the lives of seafarers around the world. I want to raise awareness of some of these dangers seafarers face when they are at sea.

I have chosen to support the good work that the Mission to Seafarers are doing for the worlds 1,3 million seafarers. The Mission to Seafarers are visiting ships, addressing seafarers needs and providing counsel and support for those suffering from anxiety of passing through dangerous areas or who have become victims of piracy while sailing in unsafe oceans.

The Mission to Seafarers have support centers all around the world including South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya, and I intend to visit the East African support centers during the kite surf fundraising mission. 

Using Mission Safe Ocean as a platform to support the Mission to Seafarers is a tribute to the thousands of seafarers who put their lives at risk passing through dangerous areas carrying goods that we all depend on.
