Moonrakers and Sunseekers - 308 km bike ride, 11 November 2022
We fund research into clear cell sarcoma to improve outcomes for future generations

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page. We are a group of colleagues from MiroBio, Oxford, who are going on a long bike ride to raise money for the Edward Showler foundation.

The Challenge

Starting at 10 pm on Friday 11th November 2022, we will be embarking on a 308 km circular ride from Bristol to the south coast and back again. We'll be riding through the night and (well) into the next day without any sleep, stopping only to refuel and take photos. This will be the furthest any of us have ever ridden before, and we expect it to be a significant challenge – particularly considering the strong possibility of bad weather at that time of year!

The Charity

Ed Showler was a gifted young doctor when he was diagnosed with CCS. The foundation, set up in his memory, funds research to develop effective treatments for future generations, supports those affected by sarcoma and enhances sarcoma awareness in the medical profession.
