Story
The team at Premier Pensions and Tax Consultancy Ltd (PPTC) in Lymm will be taking part in Trekfest the Peaks in aid of Hope House Children’s Hospices in September.
Taking on TrekFest is no mean feat, but the challenge is simple – every trekker aims to complete the 27 mile route within 12 hours.
The stunning Peak District is the location for TrekFest 2014 and more
than lives up to its reputation as one of Britain’s most inspiring National
Parks. The Peaks TrekFest challenge route encompasses an impressive network of
footpaths and bridleways, beginning and ending in the beautiful Hope
Valley.TrekFest is tough… there’s no getting away from that fact – but it is
achievable. Yes, it hurts; yes, it will push us; yes, there are moments when we
will doubt ourselves – BUT, we can and will succeed with the right physical training
and mental preparation.
Based near Oswestry, Hope House Children’s Hospices cares for terminally ill children and their families from Cheshire, Shropshire, North and Mid Wales.
The charity offers respite and palliative care in one of their two hospices or within the family home through the team of out reach nurses. In addition to this, the whole family receives counselling and bereavement support.
Hope House’s bereavement support has been extended to the wider community, to any family who have lost a child in any circumstances such as a road traffic accident, fire, cot death or suicide and their expert counsellors support not only the family but will also visit schools to help fellow pupils and teachers cope with their loss.
