Story
Thanks so much for visiting my JustGiving page.
This September, for the third year in succession, I’m taking on the 26.2mile Shine Marathon Night Walk in memory of Cazi my beautiful wife and soulmate who lost her battle against Breast Cancer in 2013. Cazi was always such a positive person with a bubbly personality who never gave up fighting and lived life to the full, and its her drive and determination that inspires me to take on the Challenge once again.
Over the last two years, including training and both previous Shine Marathons, I have walked a total 1,000 miles and raised just over £11,200 (including Gift Aid), this year by the time I cross the finish line at Old Billingsgate I will have walked another 500miles bringing my total to 1,500miles, with your help I hope to raise at least £3,800 this year bringing my overall fundraising total to £15,000. I really hope that with your help I can achieve my target as Cazi and I had 15 absolutely fantastic years together so achieving my target would mean so much and represent a tremendous tribute to my soulmate.
The funds raised will really make a difference and help Cancer Research UK in their life-saving work so that we can bring forward the day when we beat Breast Cancer. Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there.Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.
I really want to thank everyone who has supported me over the last two years, it would be fantastic if you would consider supporting me again so that together we can achieve my target and create a lasting legacy in Cazi's memory, please let all your friends and family know,
Thanks Mike
