Here's the reason why we're doing what we're doing.....

Last year Michelle (Ella and Georgia's mum) suffered a brain haemorrhage which could have been life-changing. Thankfully she was lucky and, after surgery, made a full recovery. Lots of others aren't as fortunate and will never recover. It's what happens next that counts.

BASIC is the Brain and Spinal Injury Centre which is attached to Salford Royal (Hope) Hospital. They provide post-operative care and support for those whose lives have been changed forever through brain trauma or spinal injuries. They help LOCAL people to come to terms with the fact that their lives will never be the same again.

If you're kind enough to want to make a donation towards the work they do, on behalf of all the people they help Ella, Georgia, Michelle and I would like to offer our sincere thanks.

John O'Groats to Lands End is about 1000 miles by bike. It would be brilliant if we could raise £1 for every mile we cycle.
