My lovely Dad was diagnosed with Brain Cancer just over 2 years ago and lost his battle earlier this year. At only 72 he was far to young to go. Loved life, his garden, grandkids and his TV!!!!! We were all devastated. After chemo and radiotherapy he recovered some quality of life but unfortunately after a bad seizure and then surgery last year he was left unable to walk and generally deteriorated from then on. St Raphael s Hospice were there from the beginning, and although not then needed helped and supported my mum towards the end. My dad eventually was admitted there the night he peacefully passed away thankfully saving the distress of A&E and local hospital admission. They do a fantastic job supporting families and looking after patients with terminal illnesses in their final days of life and I am very glad to have the opportunity to raise money for such a great charity.
