The Plan - Alloa Half Marathon 21/03/2010

                  Glasgow Half Marathon 05/09/2010

                  Great South Run (Portsmouth 10mile)24/10/2010

**UPDATE** 17/10/10

2 down 1 to go :) Glasgow went well - managed to finish in under 2hours which was fab. Got onto this finishing straight and saw my DAD in the last mile - it was amazing. So, I have 1 week to go until I'll be hitting the streets of Portsmouth and im really startin to get excited! Im preparing for the wind and cold as I think i might experience these conditions with the run going along the seafront! Got my race pack in so i'm just planning on how to get to the start on time etc! i'll keep you posted on how it goes. Michelle x

**UPDATE** 22/07/10

1 run down, 2 to go! With 6 weeks to go I'm back to regular training for Glasgow which i'm almost looking forward too :) So that involves lots of early rises to run before work which i love! Thank you all for your support and donations so far and I will keep you all updated.... Michelle

I will run these races in memory of my Nana. Portsmouth seems a bit of a random location for me to run but thats where my Nana lived so thats where I will finish (plus i'll get a nice wee weekend away!) But before I reach Portsmouth, I will be hitting the streets of Alloa and Glagow for the Half Marathons there. My nana moved to Portsmouth from Scotland when she was young and that became a second home for my family. Sadly, my Nana died in July 2009. She was so full of energy, even when she was in the hospital she was eyeing up the doctors and requesting a wee brandy :) So I have decided to pent up some of the energy she had and run 36.2 miles (over 3 events) in memory of my Nana and raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support. I will also be remembering my Granny Girl and my Papa whose lives were also effected by cancer.

Most people reading this will have a similar story or know someone who has been effected by cancer at some point in their life so the donations made will be well recieved by MacMillan Cancer Support.

I will be sure to keep you all up to date on how I get on along the way!

*Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Any amount would be greatly appreciated :)
