Story

Having been horse mad from a very early age, learning to ride at 6/7 yrs old at Hughie Greens in Selattyn, I spent many years riding at various stables, gaining different experiences at each one.

Eventually, my friends and I arrived at Nolton Stables and under the expert eyes of John, Penny, Lawson and James, we enjoyed many years of fab rides on the beach, across the countryside, joined in the local hunt and even enjoyed the show jumping days Lawson arranged for us.

After the very sad loss of one of my favourite horses, I decided at the ripe old age of 39 to buy my own horse!!! Along came Seren, Welsh for star and named by my husband, a 5 year old ISH, amazingly pretty and a lovely mare to own and handle.

Due to various injuries, not horse related, and a posting to Czech Republic and Poland for a year with my job, Seren went off to try her hand at eventing with Amy James, now Tough, and then to her brother Andrew James.  She returned home in 2010, produced a lovely foal in 2011 and since then has not done much at all.

Having followed Hannah Francis' amazing story, I was inspire to do something and duly signed up for the Wobbleberry Challenge - it's true to say that I am very much 'true to type' for a Wobbleberry and am actually a Wibbly Wobbly Wobbleberry!!

We have a just over a year to get fit and ready to complete a BE 80 in the autumn of 2017 and I am very much aware of the mountain I need to climb to get there - raising money and seeing my 'pot' grow will be my inspiration when things get tough!!

Please follow my preparations and any support you are able to give me will be very much appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
