We went on a cycling holiday in the West Bank and Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPTs) in 2014 and we were moved by the experience after seeing the plight suffered by Palestinians first hand. Often we were asked if we felt safe in the OPTs and not once were we apprehensive. Only when we were threatened by an armed IDF guard in a watchtower, on the separation barrier, did we realise what the Palestinians had to endure on a daily basis.
