Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Here's why we are taking part in Peter Kay's Dance for Life sponsored dance next weekend.
As many of you know, my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2014. Thanks to the wonderful staff and treatment at Poole General Hospital and the Herceptin nurse who has been travelling from Oxford to treat her 3 weekly she has hopefully made a full recovery and this is our way of saying thank you.
Wayne was diagnosed with non Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2010 and underwent R-Chop Chemotherapy and extensive radiotherapy until 2012. He has thankfully now made a full recovery although the strong treatment has left him with some side effects. He thanks the NHS every day for saving his life and using him as their guinea pig for some of the treatments.
Wayne's mum sadly passed away from cancer in 2009 and I would like to dance in her memory as I was never fortunate enough to meet her.
Those of you who know us well know we are neither dancers or disco lovers but we thought this would be a fun way of raising money together. A sponsored run just isn't our thing but comedy is, so Peter Kay as our host is the ideal set up.
