Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am participating in the Wobbleberries Challenge. What is the Wobbleberrie Challenge? The challenge is to compete at a 3-day event by the autumn of 2017. To get there will require many other challenges along the way - such as getting fit, losing weight, conquering
nerves, training hard, and learning the skills necessary to be able to compete safely.

I started riding for pleasure a little over 2 years ago, I needed to regain my confidence after suffering from a bad fall. I was more than happy to walk down the trail, and occasionally do a bit of trotting, that was fast enough for me.  I always told myself that I wanted to keep all 4 feet on the ground! In September of 2016 the group of ladies I ride with and I decided to take on the Wobbleberries Challenge. Now I find myself training to go over jumps, something I thought I would never do, our feet are no longer on the ground!

My partner in the Challenge is a 5-year old quarter horse named Radar. We have been together for 11 months, both of us green learning to jump, trying to find our rhythm in dressage and finding the courage to attempt cross country. We have come a long way together, and I look forward to the rest of our journey!
