Story
A group of sixth formers and teachers from Sheffield High School will complete a six mile walk on Friday 29th June, starting at 6 am and finishing at the school in time to begin a full day’s work, all in the aid of raising money for children who have to walk a marathon a day for their education!
Inspired by the story of Peter Msongelwa, an A level student in rural Zimbabwe who used to walk 15 miles to school each day, the group are raising money for the charity Makomborero, which is doing amazing work to help young people in similar positions. If Peter can walk 15 miles before completing a day’s schooling, then walk 15 miles back home, we ought to be able to manage 6 miles in the morning before school.
