Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. The MEERKATs and a band of walking buddies are crossing the 100 mile South Downs Way in a relay to raise money for Chestnut Tree House.
Walking with us has been Open Outdoor, CBS,KISS100, The Guardian, Global Radio, The Financial Times, Pleece & Co, Smooth Radio,Real Radio, News International, Fin and Farm and Just Seychelles.
We have been walking for 5 consecutive days so please dig deep and help us raise money for the only Children's hospice in Sussex.
Through working with Chestnut Tree we have had the opportunity to see first hand the great work they do for sick children and their families. Chestnut Tree House is the only children's hospice in Sussex and cares for children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses from all over the county.
The essential care and respite for these children, young people and their families can only be sustained by charitable donations. Some families are intensively nursing their children 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For them CTH provide life-saving support and respite where parents can rest easy knowing their children are receiving the best care and attention with access to all the facilities they need.
The cost of providing this support is enormous - around £6,850 per day. So please donate generously as every penny is so much appreciated by the children and their families who need this vital service.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - We raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Please take 5 minutes of your time to donate 10p a mile - if 200 people do this we can raise £2000 for Chestnut Tree House.
