Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Inspired by the cheerful charisma of a patient and his journey from a diagnosis of colon cancer to successful treatment in my Hospital, I wanted to support his vision of a future free from the fear of bowel disease. This is the mission statement of our work at St Mark's Hospital, a centre of excellence in Harrow specialising in the treatment of patients with a wide range of digestive diseases. We care for people with Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, cancer of the oesophagus, stomach and pancreas and irritable bowel syndrome, to name but a few. As a complete novice to long distance cycling, I successfully conquered the Colon Challenge last year. A "second wind" will spur me on again this year to raise money for research into these diseases and improve the quality of life for our patients. With your support, I will put myself to the test!
