In July 2013, together with a group of colleagues from the School of Modern Languages at the University of Bristol, I will be raising funds for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research by cycling across northern France. Setting out from the Breton port of Saint Malo on the 4th July, we will head up the Cherbourg peninsula to enable us to return to Portsmouth via Cherbourg on the 6th, and taking in some of the route of this year’s Tour de France. The total distance to be covered is approximately 170 miles and we anticipate covering 50-60 miles a day. (If we don't, we miss our ferry back!)

We are training hard so that we don't get swept up in the broom wagon!
