I have been an avid cyclist in one form or another for the last 6 years or so. But I had never thought to use my passion for good until now. My university - York - is running a cycling event to raise money for the Achieving Excellence Bursary, which can provide financial support for students from lower income families, I thought this event would be a perfect opportunity for me to help this great cause by raising some money.

The ride I'm doing is 100km which is around the furthest I have cycled before, but not for a long time. This will definitely be a challenge for me, which is why over the course of the next month I am going to commit to in terms of training and fundraising. RAIN OR SHINE!
