Sick Kids Save Point · 11 October 2013 to 13 October 2013 ·

Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity believes no child should face hospital alone. Every day, 500 seriously ill children face a life-changing hospital visit. Children tell us it can be frightening. Parents say they're sick with worry. We want to change this. With your support, we can. Are you in?

Story

Sick Kids Save Point is a 24 hour gaming marathon being held 11th-13th October 2013 to raise money for The Sick Kids Friends Foundation.

I'm starting to think about what games I'll be playing as part of my non-stop marathon. I'll certainly be working my way through that pile of shame - games that have been sitting on the shelf, sometimes untouched, since I bought them - and tackling a couple of other titles that I just haven't had time to play. So, that could include recent PS3 games like GTA V and Bioshock Infinite, as well as much older releases such as Dead Space 2, which has been gathering dust for literally years. Dead Space might be too scary to play, sleep deprived and alone, in the middle of the night, though. Courtesy of PlayStation Plus, I might take Far Cry 3 out for a spin, too. I'm also hoping to check out the Redshirt (http://www.redshirtgame.com/) beta and Wetware (http://www.wetwaregame.com/) alpha releases on PC.

Although I'll not be able to join them down at Glasgow Caledonian University on the night, I'll be playing (and tweeting) along as part of the CalmDownTom SKSP Team. Wish us all luck!
