Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and South East Hampshire, caring for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age every year, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes.

I am cycling the South Downs Way with my England wicket-keeping coach Bruce French on our return from Sri Lanka, to raise money for Chestnut Tree House.

It's a 100-mile trail from Winchester to Eastbourne with a total climb of over 4000 metres. We aim to complete the challenge over two days in mid-April with 100% of proceeds being donated to the Sussex-based children's hospice.

This year I was honoured to become a patron of Chestnut Tree House, a children's hospice who care for children and young adults with progressive life-limiting illnesses. As keen mountain bike riders, we thought this would be a great opportunity to raise vital funds for the charity.
