Hello and thank you for visiting my JustGiving Page.
On 22nd April I'm going to be running the London Marathon to show support to my Mum in her battle with cancer, say thanks to the people who have helped her along the way and raise money for Marie Curie so more families like ours can receive support in the future.
It's hard to write the words that do justice to what it's like for those that have advanced cancer and their families. However, support is available, and it does make a massive difference. Mum has received fantastic support from family, friends and colleagues. These wonderful gestures have ranged from walking her dog during the day to holidays so she can tick-off an item on her bucket list. I'll be eternally grateful to everyone who has helped us.
Friends and family can only do so much though; sometimes professional help is needed which is where charities come in. Mum has had great support over the last few years from various charities; the support goes much further than her health, they have helped her make decisions about her future. The work these charities do
is invaluable which is why I'm going to be raising money for Marie Curie.
Mum is doing the hard part, mine is easy in comparison, but any money that you can donate for this fab cause will be a big motivator in getting me out training on the cold winter nights!
Thanks again,
Mat
